What a deposit should cover
A reasonable deposit protects the design time and part of the slot you are holding. It does not have to cover the whole tattoo. Enter the quote, the expected duration and the percentage you apply. The calculator applies an operating floor of €30 and shows the amount in euros.
Match the percentage to the prep work
A fixed flash design needs less preparation than a custom piece. Put in writing whether the deposit comes off the final price, when the appointment can be moved and what happens if the design changes. Do not promise an automatic refund or an automatic loss without looking at the circumstances.
